Primary Purpose
Support Category Teams in all aspects of negotiations including strategy, tactics, prep, and execution. Through negotiations, support local brand strategies, align vendors to precise plans and leverage size/scale. Ownership and accountability of timelines and targets.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.
Duties and Responsiblities
- Build subject matter expertise in assigned vendors and categories.
- Deliver consistent, accurate, and efficient analysis data points for each negotiation.
- Mentor and train new analysts on sourcing process.
- Provide insights/ advanced analytical support to category teams to identify opportunities for growth, investment optimization and savings.
- Partner with Sourcing Collaboration Lead to identify and execute opportunities.
- Partner with Economist and Brands on Cost Changes (evaluation, approval / disapproval, tracking and alignment / escalation).
- Primary interfaces will be CM/CM+1s.
- Leads will also assist is commercial plan development and Category Planning & Negotiations.
- Develop/support insights for top to tops, FMI, executive level meetings, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years
