Primary Purpose
Works in partnership with the ADUSA Private Brands team. Leads primary research for key company initiatives. Manages key research vendors. Works with business partners within the organization to provide high quality, concise and useful insights. Ensures integrity through consistent, timely and error free reporting. Proficient in a wide set of consumer research and insights including qualitative and quantitative methodologies to provide a data-driven view of the customer.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess business needs and develop appropriate research plan(s) based on objectives and key KPIs.
  • Manage and implement both large tracking studies and ad hoc work.
  • Data collection, analysis, and descriptive statistics
  • Communicate with business partners across banners and subsidiaries of Ahold Delhaize to understand issues and objectives to deliver the best and most actionable consumer research.
  • Manage development, analysis, and delivery of timely, error-free reporting with insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations at key Management Meetings as appropriate.
  • Generate meaningful consumer insights that result in increased sales and revenue by managing the integration of data from a variety systems and sources, including, but not limited to primary consumer research, syndicated data systems and proprietary vendor provided data sources.
  • Collaborate with team to manage key vendors.
  • Communicate design and findings from research to all levels of leadership.
  • Participate in team efforts to improve and discover innovative research methodologies.
  • Implement best practices within consumer insights through standardization of methods, vendors, tools, and reporting.
  • Partner closely with other team members within Consumer Insights, Advanced Analytics and Private Brands team to lead development, analysis, and execution of business-driven recommendations.
  • Support strategic analyses that define and improve performances on high priority issues.
  • Develop and implement projects without guidance.


  • 5+ years in consumer research in CPG/Retail, can be a combination of manufacturer/client side and research supplier side.
  • Experience with brand positioning research.
  • Familiarity with Private Brands preferred
  • Experience with package research.
  • Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: PowerPoint and Excel and ability to apply to enhance organizational outcomes.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytic techniques like factor, regression, choice, or comprehensive research methods (i.e., ethnography, social listening, etc.)
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.
  • Understand and use valid statistical approaches where appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Master’s Degree is a plus
