Primary Purpose:
The Analyst IV Retirement & Pension Design is responsible for providing technical support to the retirement team in support of the organization’s employee defined contributions, defined benefit, and deferred compensation Plans. This position will also support Health Savings Account administration, as needed. As a member of the team, they will help ensure plans are administered according to plan provisions and regulatory guidelines. This position serves as a contact person for many retirement/pension plan issues. In this role, the Analyst will be expected to use independent judgment and decision-making to evaluate and make recommendations about retirement and pension benefit plan administration. Maintains knowledge of the Company’s retirement plans and the processes necessary to administer the plans.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the technical processes related to the 401(k) Plans including, but not limited to: contribution/loan/deferral file exchanges, loan and withdrawal and data management and reporting.
- Leads in executing the annual match true up process for all 401(k) Plans.
- Prepares analytical reports of retirement/pension costs as requested.
- Assists with the compliance processes related to retirement/pension plans including, but not limited to: coordinating annual audits of the retirement/pension plans, prepares data and reporting for annual valuations, PBGC filing/premium payment processing and review/distribution of required notices and plan documentation.
- Assists in preparing materials for US and Global pension committee meetings.
- Prepares funding requirements and, working with external investment advisors, determines liquidation requirements to meet pension payment obligations.
- Supports finance to review actuarial reports, discuss actuarial assumptions and review ongoing funding obligations.
- Reviews invoices for payment of all administrative expenses related to the retirement/pension plans and logs invoices for tracking purposes.
- Works with vendors, actuaries, and consultants regarding the daily administration processes of each plan, including with the pension service organization.
- Research problems between the service providers and/or claimants and makes recommendations or facilitates resolution.
- Supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities, initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.
- Analyze moderate issues and provide recommendations within strict, short timelines.
- Ensure data integrity while coordinating information from multiple sources across the company.
- Manage relationships with interval partners and work with the Director on conflicting priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline and/or the equivalent combination of education/experience/training.
- 4-6 years of experience in employee retirement and pension plan administration.
- Specific knowledge of the types of retirement/pension plans offered by the Company, including defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
- General knowledge of laws/regulations pertaining to retirement/pension plans.
- Ability to research/resolve problems or issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently to resolve issues or problems on a day-to-day basis.
- Strong communication skills—oral and written.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and management of extremely large datasets (300k+ records).
- Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors HR system or similar platform.

Preferred Qualifications:
- CEBS or similar certification preferred, similar preference for actuarial experience.
