We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Software Development Technical Manager to join our Rules Zone. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background coupled with exceptional project & people management skills. The candidate must have a minimum of 12+ years of experience in software development and application maintenance with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- To Oversee the entire software development life cycle, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Manage a team of developers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software products on time and within budget.
- Work closely with Product team to define product roadmap, backlog grooming and drive adoption of product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks, and provide innovative solutions to challenges that arise.
- Ensure the team follows industry best practices, coding standards, and project management methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team members.
- Review and approve all technical deliverables, including code, designs, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments, including product management and quality assurance, to ensure that products meet customer requirements.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members, and help to develop and maintain a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in software development, maintenance and production support with at least 5 years in a technical management role.
- Strong technical knowledge in software development, maintenance and production support including experience with web technologies, cloud computing, databases, and APIs.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Java, React Js.
- Experience in AWS and Business process management tools like DMN is advantage
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux, SQL
- Proven track record of delivering software projects on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Should have strong experience with People and performance management
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA
- Familiarity with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
