Consulting Services Manager
We are looking for a Consulting Services Manager to join our Advisory Services division. The primary responsibility of the Consulting Services Manager is to support the design and delivery of athenahealth’s fee-for-service consulting capabilities designed to enhance the financial and business performance of its clients on athenaNet, Data View, aFlex, and third party business intelligence (BI) applications. The range of responsibility includes the scoping, technical design, development, and delivery of BI solutions and consulting engagements aimed at addressing a variety of business issues related to data warehousing and custom analytics. In performance of these responsibilities, the consultant may be assigned to multiple consulting engagements simultaneously and play a key role in delivering individual project results and deliverables. The scope of these responsibilities extends to all physician medical practice clients including national practices, medium group practices, and solo provider practices.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of customer specific data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) consulting engagements while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction
Support the ongoing development and refinement of a suite of data service offerings in collaboration with other internal departments to ensure alignment with overall athenahealth product, marketing, and service strategies
Support internal departments in selling consulting services including scoping, proposing and presenting engagements to clients
Perform analyses, summarize findings, generate client deliverables, and present reports to clients as needed and in support of consulting engagements
Mentor and coach teammates on revenue cycle and clinical application data flows
Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, peers and athenistas across various levels and departments
Meet departmental timeliness and billability/productivity metrics
Other duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts / Science degree required
Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience
Healthcare clinical and financial product knowledge; familiarity with athenaClinicals and/or athenaCollector and/or aFlex and/or non athena rev cycle/EMR applications or desire to learn
Demonstrated data warehouse experience utilizing Snowflake and/or SQL Server, including source to target data mapping, data modeling, SQL Scripting, and data validation
Demonstrated business intelligence experience with tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or PrecisionBI
Demonstrated project management experience in scoping and estimating effort of custom solution deliverables
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills including data mining and analysis
Practice administrator/manager and/or consulting experience preferred
Excellent communication skills and effective networking with a broad base of internal and external constituents
Ability to manage numerous detail-intensive, interdependent, and time-sensitive tasks and ensure the accurate completion of the same
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others to achieve desired results
Travel 0-30% nationwide
