We are looking for a Product Manager in our Bengaluru location to be part of Foundational Platform zone within athena Platform and Data Services organization.


The Team:

Foundational Platform zone is responsible for Providing a Scalable & Resilient Foundation, Improving athena Developer Productive & Experience and Ensuring athena Product and Release Quality. We are working on realizing athena’s Technology Strategy in addition to running mission critical services that athena’s flagship product athenaOne depends on.

Job Responsibilities

  • Owns (reports, analyzes, hypothesizes) 1-2 key measures.
  • Works with 1-2 scrum teams to deliver on key results in the plan and not just executing a list of tasks.
  • Spends 80% time in release related activities and 20% on planning, analysis, reporting.
  • Focused on the middle of the product lifecycle.
    • Topic to cover is understood, but PO does research of requirements and develops plans, supports development, alpha, beta, GA rollout and post-GA support.
  • Creates and owns the road map managing the release prioritizing what is in what is out.
  • Proactively iterate requirements and plans in agile fashion to help unblock teams.
  • Owns clarity of requirements and timely, execution ready work to enable epic delivery / velocity.
  • Building awareness of the gotchas and proactively seeking guidance on them from zone or senior leadership
  • Primary point of contact and emerging expert in the domain with the ability to pull in the right experts as needed.
  • Deliverables and communications are proactive and professional.
  • Highly reliable and dependable member of the team.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of product management experience with cross geo located teams
  • Experience working with stakeholders in a business environment across cross-functional groups.
  • Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development environments.
  • Demonstrated success at driving results in a fast-paced environment and managing simultaneously competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the team and guide stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with Agile SDLC, Prototyping and Testing, Requirements gathering and development, Workflow analysis, Usability Analysis, Design thinking, UX/UI collaboration and System analysis.
