We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of developers building the next generation of Patient Self Check-in features. You are a senior level developer who demonstrates design and engineering excellence and has experience building full-stack web applications, preferably in public and private cloud environments. You are an excellent communicator and nimble learner who embraces the challenges and complexity of working in the healthcare space.
The Team
We’re building the next generation of online patient check-in solutions. These solutions streamline and improve the accuracy of the process for providers and their patients. As a part of this team, you’ll be writing code that constantly improves these experiences for millions of patients. Know that your work matters by building software that makes a difference in the lives of real people.
You’ll be part of a full-stack team as a back-end-focused developer. Your job is to develop scalable API solutions to support patient-facing front-ends. We aspire to use all the usual industry best practices such as continuous delivery and iterative agile methodologies. We do two-week sprints and rollout our features quickly to a subset of our customers for feedback as they mature.
Job Responsibilities
- Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes
- Proactively identifies and proposes new, alternative technology in order to create scalable implementations and achieve results.
- Adhere to DoD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practices.
Typical Qualifications
- Ideally 4+ years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience with Java Spring Boot and web application development
- Strong foundation in REST API development and cloud services such as AWS
- Experience creating test frameworks
- Aiding the development of back-end architecture
- Ability to write code that is technically sound, performant, scalable, and readable
- Experience with Agile and CI/CD concepts an added plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating test frameworks (e.g. JUnit).
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket, etc.
