We are seeking a Software Engineer to join us in our growing R&D teams. Engineers at athena may work on a variety of technical problems across products and platform teams. Position Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Quality Zone within the Clinicals Division. Your job will be to contribute to accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the appropriate detail and deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services.

You are a developer with experience building full stack web applications. You are an excellent communicator that is capable of quickly picking up the complicated healthcare space.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop code on an agile team of Engineers, a Product Owner, and Experience Designer
  • Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members
  • Develop knowledge and domain expertise.
  • Demonstrate ownership of what you and the team build and deploy in production
  • Troubleshoot production and non-production issues
  • Open to learn any new technology

Skills and Experience Required

  • Around 2-4 years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (preferably Java); relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL with modern UI frameworks (preferably React)
  • Willingness to learn and work on PERL tech stack

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience of developing microservices with Spring Boot framework
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform
  • Experience with DevOps principles, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket or other source code repositories.
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases like Apache Cassandra
  • Knowledge of healthcare and electronic health records
