We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our ClinAPI team within Bangalore R&D. You will work with product owners to develop backend FHIR APIs that will meet regulatory certifications. Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Data Structures and Algorithms, Perl, FHIR, RESTful API, EKS, Nodejs, JOOQ and Oracle.
Position Summary:
We are looking for Full stack Java developer passionate about technology and adding value to customers on athenaOne products developed out of Bangalore.
ClinAPI team builds FHIR APIs that enables a seamless interoperability with our athenaOne core platform, connecting key workflows across athenaOne and third-party applications. 400+ customer and partner applications leverage our API to power their innovative user experiences at scale that truly defines the ecosystem across athenahealth. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by our mission to help make an impact.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Technical Execution
· Produce accurate, unambiguous and quality code per requirements.
· Ability to critique technical documentation as needed.
· Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity, and Integration testing.
· Proactively Identifies and proposes new, alternative technology to create scalable implementations and achieve results.
· Accurately estimate the size of development tasks in story points, challenge other during estimation
· Provide high level T-shirt sizing for the work required to build smaller software components and services.
· Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices; hold other members of the team accountable for doing so.
· Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes.
· Participates in team member interview process as needed; influences final hiring decisions.
· Scale systems to meet business demand.
· Deploy systems to meet availability targets (HA/DR)
· Adhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practices.
· Perform peer code reviews to ensure quality standards.
· Drive accountability on commitments from self and peers.
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
· 2-4 years of experience in an engineering role
· Experience in an Agile environment preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
· Significant software engineering skills and computer science experience
· Knowledge of modern programming languages such as: Java, Spring, Hibernate, FHIR, RESTful API, Nodejs, ReactJS and databases.
· Knowledge of SQL and various other DB technologies
· Experience with deploying and maintaining services in public cloud like AWS is an added advantage.
· Knowledge of microservices architecture.
