Responsibilities:
  • You will lead five practice areas – public relations, analyst relations, social, exec comms and internal comms.
  • Develop an internal and external communications strategy that advances BitSight’s public image in ways that directly impact revenue, brand awareness and employer branding
  • Ensure a consistent, world-class brand narrative is present through all of the company's touchpoints across product and marketing efforts.
  • Promote BitSight’s thought leadership, executive visibility, and product and corporate positions to external parties to shape BitSight’s enterprise positioning
  • Lead and manage BitSight’s external global PR agencies, achieving high visibility with top-tier media on a global basis and continuously raising our share of voice within the cybersecurity industry.
  • Create and manage crisis management protocol
  • Drive the company's social media strategy understanding which levers to pull to drive awareness, engagement and social interaction.
  • Create compelling programs which engage industry analysts and help us achieve placement in key reports.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and executive stakeholders to define strategy and lead the development of creative concepts delivered through all media channels: advertising, video, web, social, mobile, and press.
  • Build, lead and retain a motivated communications team to ensure exceptional performance and results.
  • Define and achieve KPIs including identifying primary target audiences and delivering best-in-class content and solutions through direct and partner channels.
Qualifications
  • 10-15 years of experience in Communications, PR and global branding, preferably in the cybersecurity industry
  • Experience with Software-as-a-Service offerings.
  • Proven track record developing and executing successful B2B corporate communications.
  • Experience developing a multi-year communications strategy, tactics to deliver on strategic focus and resources needed to win
  • Proven experience driving corporate communications through massive scale and growth
  • Proven track record with public relations, analyst relations, social, exec comms and internal comms.
  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with top-tier technology and business media.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management
  • Experience writing compelling narratives rooted in consumer truths and business objectives
  • Creative and strategic in how new media technologies can be utilized, and a keen ability to leverage and build our brand.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, be creative & strategic in how new media technologies can be utilized and drive new ways of thinking to drive communications internally and externally
  • Ability to develop metrics, build executive summaries and communicate business and technology insights
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience building deep relationships with x-functional teams, including: product, sales and marketing
  • Experience in building and mentoring a global team of communications specialists
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred
  • Fluency with cyber security industry highly desired

This position may be considered a promotional opportunity pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US $200,000-220,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant.
