BitSight is looking for an experienced Backend engineer to join our U.S.-based engineering team.

Our team works on distributed, highly scalable solutions for Bitsight’s cyber security products that allow our customers to monitor their own cyber security and that of their partners and service providers. We are looking for talented software engineers that embrace the challenge of providing solutions to large problems and want to construct the foundation that the engineering team will use for the next 3-5 years. Requirements
2+ years experience designing, developing, and documenting web API’s (e.g. Python, Golang, Swagger)
Experience with web application frameworks (e.g. Django,Rails, or Express)
Knowledge of writing high quality unit and integration tests
Experience with SQL, both relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Redis)
Experience working with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners in delivering a SaaS product to end users
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
Deep experience with Django, Flask, and various AWS services.
Experience working with Git, Git-ops, and trunk based development.
Familiarity with front end technologies such as React, Angular or Vue.
Experience building or working with CI/CD environments.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US $115,000 to $130,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant. Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
