We are looking for a highly-driven, analytical and customer-obsessed Senior Tech Business Developer Manager for continental Europe (Germany, Italy, Spain, France). You will be joining the team recently launched and will be responsible to promote Amazon Key products to building managers, building owners and housing associations and reaching out to new prospects). You will also collect market and customers’ insights to ensure we continue to improve our product and delight our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver Results: identify strong prospects and form successful commercial relationships with them.
- You identify and plan new targets and map stakeholders
- You effectively initiate and qualify your leads
- You effectively undertake business development activities
- You create promotional decks for various customer segments
- You build a trusting relationship with key partners and stakeholders
- Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with our potential future strategic customers
- Cross-functional collaboration: Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Technical
- Dive deep: Measure performance, articulate root-cause analysis, and link to specific improvement areas
- Invent and Simplify: Analyze current purchasing processes and evaluate opportunities for solutions to improve end user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance
A day in the life
You are the ideal candidate if:
- You have very strong business development skills and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and revenue targets;
- You are excited to join a developing new start-up;
- You have prior experience in working with building managers, building owners and housing associations
- You are a self-starter, and can juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often highly ambiguous environment;
- You have extensive experience developing relationships with external partners as well as with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Product and Tax;
- You are able to communicate with senior leaders in a clear, concise and structured manner - particularly in written form;
- You can easily shift from thinking to rolling up your sleeves and executing, in order to deliver result.
This role will be based in Amsterdam or Munich/Berlin and with moderate travel (maximum 25%).
German speaking is a requirement

The Amazon Key mission is to empower customers to easily manage access to their homes and businesses. To accomplish our mission, Amazon Key design, manufacture, sell and maintain Access Control products using the latest home security technologies. Amazon Key technology enables Amazon Delivery Associates to securely get access to semi-public space within buildings, in order to deliver parcels. Amazon Key continue to innovate and delight Amazon Key’s rapidly growing customer base. Amazon Key consistently works on high profile projects and seek talented individuals motivated by an opportunity to make an impact, work on challenging technical problems, and learn in the process.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Extensive experience in business development, account management, ideally in the Prop Tech sector;
- Demonstrated ability in managing commercial relationships with mid to large partners
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment;
- Strong ownership, bias for action
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively advise senior leadership
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
- Minimum C1 English + German is a MUST
- Solid experience in business development
- Ability to take decision based on data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in working with property owners/companies, property manager or housing associations.
• Italian language skills
