DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Key team is inventing and implementing pioneering initiatives for Amazon deliveries and services within Ring. We are focused on enhancing customer experience through next generation technologies, and are seeking an exceptional, entrepreneurial Software Development Engineer to help drive this mission.
Duties include research, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of new and existing systems and the creation of software services and tools to drive the software development process towards higher quality. You will be working on cutting edge technologies in the market today. The development will be from the concept stage to the launch stage and ensuring the highest level of quality for your deliverables.
Key job responsibilities
* Translating product requirements for our web applications into well-designed, well-documented, and well-maintained code.
* Our tech stacks include mostly native AWS services, using AWS CDK, we mostly use Java, Python, Javascript to write scalable code.
* Working with other team members to investigate approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
* Working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality
* We may be asked to help with some away-team work with other Amazon teams both inside Amazon and external e.g., Ring team
* Provide innovative solution to customer problem using existing or new AI tools and services

* product managers within the Key organization
* other SDEs, QAEs, SDMs, BIE and marketers, using our tools to troubleshoot and understand any challenges facing our customers.
* Our external stakeholders include, the growing Key, Ring and Amazon customers found in the Key, Ring, and Amazon-wide apps and websites.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
