As a Rightsholder Inventory Specialist, your primary objective will be to facilitate inventory acquisition by leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills to address various inquiries and opportunities with rightsholders. This role will require proactive engagement with external rightsholder organizations to enhance client service enrollment. Through persistent efforts, you will effectively communicate the numerous benefits of collaborating with Copyright Clearance Center, utilizing clear presentations of legal agreements to achieve inventory goals. As a secondary objective you will serve as an escalation point for rightsholder inquiries that come through the customer service team. To be effective in this role, you must have a strong understanding of the rightsholder relationship with CCC. This includes understanding the sensitive nature of rightsholder support recognizing when inquiries need to be escalated to the rightsholder relations team. You will need to have strong communication skills, including being an effective writer. This role requires that you be a detailed problem solver willing to investigate and resolve sometimes complex rightsholder inquiries that may involve legal agreements, royalty distributions, and tax withholding. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to be effective in this role as you work across department lines and leverage the expertise of the teams outside of customer service.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the end-to-end enrollment process for new business and/or upsells for identified services in the small rightsholder market
  • Manage communications with and resolve problems for publishers not managed by our Rightsholder Relations team
  • Assist customer service with any escalated inquiries that may require your specialty
  • Be the voice of the rightsholder for non-managed accounts in collaboration with Customer Service

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2-5 years of professional work experience required
  • Sales and opportunity management skills preferred
  • Experience in a customer focused environment providing the highest level of service
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and well organized with the ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize to meet measurable objectives
  • Strong written and dynamic verbal communication skills with ability to relate comfortably with people across levels, functions and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and timeliness in decision making and communications
  • A high level of attention to detail, problem-solving skills and willingness to follow through
