Deputy Editor Hospitalist Medicine

Your Opportunity:

The Deputy Editor will lead a team responsible for the development and ongoing curation of Hospital Medicine content. They will work with both an in-house team of skilled writers and editors as well as an external network of specialists to ensure the content reflects the highest quality clinical expertise and the principles of evidence-based medicine. The Deputy Editor is integral to the DynaMed mission of providing the most useful, easily accessible information at the point-of-care to healthcare providers world-wide who rely on DynaMed every day to assist in delivering outstanding patient care.

This position is part-time, and the expected time commitment is 20 hours per week. The work can be performed on site in Ipswich, or entirely remotely based on the successful candidate's preference.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure clinical excellence and relevance of all Hospital Medicine topics as well as Hospitalist-focused content in other topics before publication
  • Evaluate new evidence and guidelines for potential inclusion in DynaMed
  • Collaborate with our team of high-quality physician specialists who assist in developing and reviewing content; recruit additional experts as needed
  • Support a culture of collaborative teamwork and contribute to staff development through effective teaching, editing, feedback, and coaching
  • As a key member of the leadership team, participate in developing
    • Goals and objectives for the editorial team
    • Quality and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Overall product strategy and vision
  • Promote product adoption and usage

Your Team:

DynaMed is a leading online evidence-based point-of-care medical reference. It is a rapidly growing, comprehensive clinical decision resource that provides the most current and useful synthesized evidence, with an emphasis on providing the quickest time to answer. You will work closely with a highly-skilled and knowledgeable team of writers, editors, and clinicians in your specialty area to create and further improve high-quality clinical content.

About You:

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) with current license in good standing
  • Relevant board certification
  • An understanding of the principles of evidence-based medicine and a commitment to incorporating them in guiding clinical decision-making
  • > 10 years of direct patient care experience in the care of hospital inpatients, and a willingness to maintain ongoing clinical activities
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with > 2 years of experience as a team leader or project leader
  • Ability to self-manage multiple priorities within deadlines, delegate tasks and responsibilities

Target Annual Salary Range: $158,445 - $226,350. This Pay Target range includes a bonus target of 5% of base salary. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
