Job Description

The Opportunity:

We, at Flywire, are seeking a strategically minded Key Account Manager (KAM) to work with our existing portfolio of Education Clients – to gain a deep understanding of our clients’ worlds and to align Flywire’s products and services with their objectives. In doing so we will build stronger client relationships across campus, increase the utilisation of our platform(s) and ultimately drive revenue.

The KAM, reporting directly to the Head of Key Account Management UK, will work closely with the Sales, Implementation, and Client Optimization to execute strategies designed to drive growth, uncover new business potential, increase revenue, provide accurate issue resolution and assure clients and their students have the best payment experience and support in the industry.

Primary duties would include:

  • Gain a clear understanding of clients goals at an organisational, departmental and individual level and ensure these are documented in strategic account plans
  • Stakeholder management including increasing the breadth and seniority of contacts whilst also connecting them with appropriate Flywire counterparts
  • Work alongside Client Success and Consultants to capture an in depth knowledge of client’s operations including student lifecycle and payer journey
  • Map Flywire’s wallet share of existing payment flow and unearth new opportunities for Flywire products and services, owning the end-to-end upsell, working with Technical Sales support as required
  • Managing proposal writing, contract negotiations and renewals
  • Oversee deployment of Flywire assets working alongside Implementation and Client Success teams
  • Leading an internal account team, ensuring there is a clear understanding of what we are trying to achieve with a client and escalating support requests or issues as appropriate
  • Adopt a data driven approach, working alongside Client Analysts, to spot potential risks before they materialise and create a ‘no drama’ environment
  • Meticulous organisation and prioritisation to ensure momentum on activities

Qualifications

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of sales, account management, or client management experience
  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, or Marketing Management - or other relevant fields
  • A background working in education and/or fintech (preferred)
  • Strong proactive commercial drive
  • Experience in consultative sales; the ability to build rapport quickly, identify and diagnose business problems, demonstrate products remotely, or in person, and meet the specific customer needs with effective solutions
  • Ability to speak to the technical aspects of a solution
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • The ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
