We are looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist with a focus on Azure Analytical Services, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making within our organization. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust BI solutions that integrate various systems, optimize our enterprise data infrastructure, and provide actionable insights through intuitive visualizations.

What You’ll Do:

1. BI Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions. Design data models, architectures, and workflows that align with organizational goals and leverage Azure Analytical Services effectively
2. Integration of Systems: Lead efforts to integrate data from disparate sources, including databases, applications, and cloud services, into a unified data warehouse environment. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security throughout the integration process
3. Enterprise Data Infrastructure: Manage and optimize our enterprise data infrastructure on Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines. Implement best practices for data governance, performance tuning, and scalability
4. Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from large datasets. Develop predictive models, data visualizations, and dashboards that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions
5. BI Tool Implementation: Evaluate, select, and implement BI tools and technologies that align with our requirements and infrastructure, with a focus on Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI
6. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of BI solutions and infrastructure components. Identify areas for optimization and implement enhancements to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency
7. Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, data models, and processes. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize BI tools and access the insights they need

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred
• Proven experience as a BI Specialist or similar role, with a focus on Azure Analytical Services
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services relevant to BI, such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI
• Strong understanding of data integration techniques, data modeling principles, and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database)
• Familiarity with programming languages for data manipulation and analysis (e.g., Python, R) is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
