Overview:

The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting the HR Manager in providing first class Human Resources support to employees and managers of InterSystems - Brazil, for all employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, training & development, benefits administration, performance & assessment, statutory compliance and retention.

You will work closely with our international HR team to ensure proper workflow and to collaborate on projects.

Key responsibilities include: ensuring efficiency of HR workflows and processes, ensuring accuracy of HR data and relevant documentation and providing advisory support to employees and managers regarding benefits and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • General HR Administration:
    • Manage daily HR activities and HR administration functions
    • Provide guidance and assistance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and good practices
    • Follow-up and manage legal and administrative processes (vacations, sick leaves, health and safety, personnel filing, etc.)
    • Assist with HR processes (promotions, department moves, etc.)
    • Organize company HR-led events as required
  • Onboarding:
    • Prepare and coordinate new employee induction schedules, present HR-related information to new employees as required and maintain onboarding materials to ensure they are up to date with company procedures.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Manage current benefits
    • Foster long-term relationships with benefits providers and work with benefits providers to resolve employee questions
    • Ensure effective communication on the benefits offered and respond to employee benefit inquiries in a timely and confidential manner
  • Training & Development:
    • Assist with training needs identification
    • Help find suitable providers and build and maintain trustful and long-term relationships with them
    • Coordinate trainings
  • Performance & Assessment:
    • Assist managers and employees with the performance appraisal system and process, answer users’ questions
  • Tools, systems and data support:
    • Assist managers with HR transactions (new hires, transfers, leaves of absence, terminations, etc.) to ensure correct data and timely approval
    • Ensure that HR data is updated and accurate in HR systems
    • Generate and maintain real-time organizational charts
  • Assist the HR Manager with Brazilian HR projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Flexible & able to reprioritize tasks as needed
  • Customer Service-oriented attitude
  • High degree of discretion and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Enthusiastic with a positive work attitude, able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Pro-active; not reactive
  • Autonomous and able to work with minimal daily supervision
  • Bilingual English – Portuguese skills is a must.
  • Experience working with HRIS is a plus, but not required

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
