For over 25 years, Native Instruments has been at the forefront of sonic innovation. Guided by our mission to inspire and enable creators to express themselves, we develop integrated audio hardware and software solutions for musicians, producers, engineers, and DJs of all genres and levels of experience.
Our Infrastructure / Libraries team is responsible for maintaining, improving and expanding our core libraries and frameworks, the platform used in our audio effect plugins and instruments focussing on the Brainworx and Plugin Alliance brands. We are experts in supporting the product and partner teams, providing solutions with clean architecture and continuous improvement in mind.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, improve and expand our core libraries and frameworks, the foundation for our audio effect plugins and instruments
- Be part of a libraries team that is working in close cooperation with other NI teams
- Design and implement while striving towards state-of-the-art architecture and best practices (e.g. DevOps, agile/lean, design patterns, clean code)
- Expand know how of various focus areas (cross-platform plugin abstraction frameworks, licensing, and more)
- Continuous learning as part of the job
- Understand and adapt to the business needs and requirements as needed
What You'll Need
- Professional experience in cross-platform C++ development (ideally macOS and Windows)
- Successful track record of designing new software as well as improving and refactoring older software
- Experience with Git/gitflow, build & release pipelines, automated testing
- Ideally knowledge of macOS / Windows APIs, scripting languages like PowerShell / Python, configuration as code, TDD, cryptography, ObjC
- Good working knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
