The Opportunity


The newly announced CFPMO is seeking an experienced project management professional to support the stand-up of the new organization and serve as the Resource Demand Capacity leader across MassMutual’s Corporate Functions.

In this highly visible role, you will report to the CFPMO Head of Process Management and be accountable for owning the resource demand capacity management process and tooling for the Corporate Functions.

The Team


The CFPMO oversees the execution of initiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR & Employee Experience, as well as defines and owns project management standards across the company. The team is focused on driving and aligning critical programs and projects across our Corporate Functions, creating more visibility into this work, while enabling better prioritization, collaboration, and execution.

We are a newer team of self-starters, who enjoy solving complex business problems with proven track records of excellence in project management and the ability to quickly structure and manage work in a dynamic, complex environment.

The Impact:

As the Corporate Function Resource Demand Capacity Lead, you will:

  • Work closely with the CFPMO team, Corporate Function senior leadership, ETX, and project teams in operating and enhancing the resource demand capacity management process and tooling as well as facilitating workout sessions to solve for resource contention issues across the Corporate Function project portfolio.

  • Own resource demand capacity management process for Corporate Functions, ensuring consistent and accurate tracking of resource availability and utilization.

  • Facilitate contention workout sessions with Project Managers and Resource Managers and elevate prioritization decisions needed across project portfolio.

  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvement within resource capacity management and actively support enhancement initiatives.

  • In collaboration with the Enterprise, partner on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of resource management capabilities for the CFPMO

  • Own requirements for resource capacity reporting and dashboards

  • Own resource demand capacity process controls and testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of project and/or resource management experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and expertise

  • Ability to travel between Boston, MA and Springfield, MA as needed

Ideal Qualifications

  • Proven success in delivering large scale projects on time, within budget, and to scope.

  • Experience in wealth management and/or insurance industry sectors

  • 5+ years’ experience with data analysis, data modeling, forecasting

  • Knowledge of extract / transform / load

  • Knowledge of data models

  • Knowledge of query languages (i.e., Dax and M)

  • Understanding of how to normalize data

  • Experience with process improvement

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with Clarity PPM

  • Familiarity with SAP

  • Project or Program Management Certification (i.e., PMP, CAPM, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of pros and cons of various project and resource management frameworks

Salary Range:

$121,800.00-$159,800.00
