The Opportunity

The newly announced Corporate Functions Program Management Office (CFPMO) is seeking an experienced project management professional to support the stand-up of the new organization and serve as the PM Training Consultant.

The Team

The CFPMO was established to oversee the execution of initiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR & Employee Experience, as well as define and own project management standards across the company. The team is focused on creating more visibility into this work, while enabling better improved prioritization, collaboration, and execution.

We are a newer team of self-starters, who enjoy solving complex business problems, with proven track records of excellence in project management and the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in dynamic, complex environments. Were also striving to create an authentic environment where people are inspired, encouraged, and motivated to succeed together.

The Impact

As the Project Management Training Consultant, you will work closely with the CFPMO leadership team, MassMutual PMOs, and project teams to develop and lead the training strategy for project management, which will be based on conducting thorough needs assessments and the identification of skill gaps.

  • Partner to develop and execute the training strategy for project management, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices

  • Design and implement engaging training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of project management professionals across the organization

  • Create comprehensive training curriculum including guides, presentations, e-learning modules, job aids, and exercises tailored to various learning styles and levels of experience

  • Collaborate with CFPMO leadership and key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and identify skill gaps

  • Evaluate and continuously improve training programs based on participant feedback, performance data, and evolving organizational needs

  • Develop onboarding training programs for new project managers to accelerate their understanding of CFPMO processes, tools, and standards

  • Partner with standards and tooling leads to ensure that training materials accurately reflect latest templates, tools, and best practices

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in a project management training or consulting role

  • 1 + years of proven success leading, designing, and delivering effective and engaging training sessions, workshops, and presentations, virtually and in-person for diverse audiences

  • 1 + years of expertise in designing training curriculum, including conducting needs assessments and identifying skill gaps

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in wealth management and/or insurance industry sectors

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (i.e., Waterfall, Agile, and Lean)

  • Advanced knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Clarity, MS Office 365, etc.,)

  • Prior experience working with a Learning Management System (i.e. Rise or Storyline, etc.)

  • Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP, PgMP, PfMP, etc.)

Salary Range:

$102,500.00-$134,500.00
