The Opportunity

As the SAP Consultant you will collaborate with teams across the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Enterprise Technology & Experience (ETX) organizations in migrating and converting of MassMutual’s historical financial data to cloud-based SAP S4/Hana modules driven solutions. The scope comprises of MassMutual's statutory, GAAP, tax and management basis reports and require designing and implementing fit for purpose S4/Hana based solutions.

We are seeking someone with a strong technical and functional understanding of and experience using S4/Hana, experience solving complex technical problems, proven track record of driving successful system and data transformation activities, and excellent communication and influencing skills.

The Team

The Data Management team reports to the Head of Data Management and Reporting and is made up of 4-6 business/SAP consultants.

The team partners with a third-party data migration partner and ETX team to ensure accurate, complete and timely migration, conversion and validation of historical SAP R3 data to SAP S4.

The team also collaborates with Change Management to support organizational training activities related to SAP S4/Hana design, data flow, master and transactional data, code block and hierarchies.

The Impact:

The primary responsibilities for this role are:

  • Work independently and with internal/external team members and partners, to migrate, convert and validate historical SAP R3 to SAP S4
  • Assess, recommend, implement improvement opportunities related to master data elements, code block and hierarchies to reconcile and resolve data related differences
  • Partner with ETX to provide subject matter expertise to support SAP S4 design and configuration efforts
  • Leverage knowledge of SAP functionality and design, and master data to drive solutioning efforts of solve complex business process and technical challenges
  • Enable teams to implement master data and SAP functional changes through development and facilitation of training materials across CFO and ETX teams

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT or similar fields
  • 8+ years of relevant SAP R3 and S4/Hana FI and CO experience
  • 4+ years relevant data migration and transformation experience

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, CPA or equivalent technical education
  • Advanced SAP certification(s)
  • Experience using SAP S4 Fiori Apps and Financial Product Sub Ledger (FPSL)
  • Experience using BEx queries, SAP Analysis Cloud (SAC), SAP Analysis for Office (SAC AO), Alteryx and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, insurance statutory accounting/reporting and/or experience in Financial Institutions

Salary Range:

$128,000.00-$168,000.00
