Intro and job overview:

As a test engineer, you are responsible for multiple differing complex components. Works independently, Responsible to write scalable, platform-agnostic test automation frameworks. Communicates with clients and partners on issues and drives resolution. Anticipates problems and suggests optimal solution. Experience in SaaS based solutions & cloud technologies like AWS, AZURE, or GOOGLE Cloud. Understanding of performance benchmarking and performance testing will be added advantage.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Demonstrate ability to create & execute – automated functional and regression tests.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of Continuous Integration process and should be able to create and execute jobs pipeline.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the test automation process like API testing, UI functional, regression, smoke, exploratory and end to end testing within an agile delivery model.
  • Implement end to end test automation and define tool roadmaps.
  • Participate in software development lifecycle, specifically test design, execution and debugging required to achieve successful implementation of integrated solutions within the portfolio.
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Collaboratively elaborate requirements to enable acceptance test driven development with tech leads, developers, and business analysts.
  • Goes the extra mile to meet release and quality goals.
  • Improve and maintain existing test automation framework.
  • Anticipate problems and suggest solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience to work on docker/Kubernetes and other cloud native technologies.
  • Hands on experience in UI Automation via Selenium or Playwright. Preferably via Playwright tool.
  • Hands on experience in API testing and automation, preferably via Rest Assured framework.
  • Hands on experience in Git as source code management tool, and GitLab as DevOps platform.
  • Experience in working with distributed systems/applications, and scaled system/service architecture.
  • Experience utilizing virtualization technologies using VMs and app containerization.
  • Strong programming/scripting experience and a passion for test.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in test automation including planning, assessments, script development and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on Git, GitLab, Pipelines.
  • Proven experience in scripting (shell, batch), familiarity with python with added advantage.
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, protractor, bdd framework like cucumber/ jasmine.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in a stakeholder facing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an agile and Devops delivery team.
  • Must be self-directed, resilient, and creative.
