Join us as a Senior Cloud Engineer in our Product Engineering team based in Bangalore, India.
Cloud computing allows us to modernize and consolidate infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, we’re seeking an experienced cloud engineer who has expertise in the development and implementation of large-scale projects in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of knowledge in Cloud service implementation and automation leveraging IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Chef). The Senior Cloud Engineer will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of product engineering and an ongoing impact on growth.
In this role, you will:
- Work in tandem with product development teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
- Define and document the best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
- Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developer teams to build their cloud competencies
- Provide infrastructure and observability to product teams ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design
- Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security and compliance guidelines
Responsibilities
- Following the Cloud Engineering strategy, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics
- Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
- Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
Your background:
- 3 years in a Cloud Engineering or similar role, with a proven track record of architecting and managing highly reliable and scalable systems.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, .NET, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Experience with Observability implementation and tools such as New Relic, Grafana, DataDog.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Preferred skills
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
- Experience with implementing and managing microservices architectures.
- Experience with performance testing and optimization techniques.
