Seeking an engineering leader to build out the UI for Rapid7’s Vulnerability Management Detection Response Management tools.
You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, UX, and product managers to drive new feature development, coach and mentor junior engineers, as well as drive development standards and best practices.
About the Team
Our Vulnerability Management team is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower organizations to proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities within their IT infrastructure. As an integral part of Rapid7's cybersecurity products and services, this team plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall security posture of our customers.
This team is responsible for a core application that is deployed both on premise and in the cloud. The primary focus of the application is aimed at helping our customers reduce the risk of potential cyberattacks and data breaches by providing insight of their vulnerability exposure, risk and overall security posture. Tech Stack: Typescript and ReactJS , Webpack, Jest.
About the Role
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work with a team of engineers to build the UI across Rapid7’s Vulnerability Management tools. You will be heavily involved in the design and planning of upcoming features, as well as architecting and managing shared component libraries for the platform. You will collaborate closely with our embedded UX team that works with engineers and product managers to create our feature-rich platform for customers, with an emphasis on high quality user experience.
In this role, you will:
Bring technical design and architecture to the team to help build performant, reliable and scalable applications.
Work with a talented and supportive team while helping to deliver new initiatives
Have the opportunity to mentor & coach an existing team in a fast-paced environment and industry
Contribute to all parts of the product architecture from design to deployment
Collaborate closely with UX and Product teams to create elevated and functional experiences for customers
Work with cutting-edge technologies

Build brand new features, components, and web services from the ground up with an emphasis on reuse

The skills you’ll bring include:
Experience building complex user interfaces using React JS; you’re familiar with the common patterns used in modern web applications, and you’ve got deep understanding of how to build them

Be collaborative; work with teams across the globe as well as with your teammates.
