Job Description Summary:
The Associate Customer Solutions Engineer as a Professional Services EDI Consultant provides a wide range of EDI services that are based on Rocket’s EDI product, from implementation and training to consulting on industry best practices for enterprise level customers. Consultants are expected to represent Rocket Software in the highest professional manner as a product expert and trusted advisor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional value-driven services to customers.
- Translates business requirements into technical EDI solutions.
- Analysis, creates, tests, and implements EDI transactions using Rocket EDI systems.
- Design of efficient processing of incoming and outgoing EDI messages including customer/supplier communication connections.
- Deploys completed processes and solutions and facilitates support transition to Rocket EDI Support team.
- Provide technical support during and after implementation for EDI configurations and setup.
- Support organizational knowledge build pertaining to EDI and transaction standards.
- Actively participate in resolving EDI issues related to customer and/or supplier EDI requirements as 2nd and 3rd tier support.
- Stay current on new and emerging EDI technologies; recommend changes as appropriate and assist in the implementation of the selected technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in related EDI analyst or consultant position
- Skills or experience in the following areas:
- Mapping and configuration experience in EDI using various EDI translators.
- EDI standards: EDIFACT, X12, VDA, ODETTE
- NON-EDI messages: SAP IDOC, XML/cXML, JSON, CSV, Fix-Length.
- Communication Standards: OFTP2, AS2, X400, FTP/SFTP, VAN
- Database technologies: MySQL, MSSQL
- Windows, Linux
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills.
- Critical thinking, analytical and troubleshooting skills
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Basic knowledge and experience of programming methodology and algorithms
(e.g., with Java, C, .NET, JS, Python, PERL, etc.) - Basic XSLT knowledge
