Job Description Summary:

The Associate People Operations Partner is multifaceted and encompasses guidance to employees and managers in all People-related procedures with a focus on process improvement and global scalability. This role is integral to supporting our Global People Services helpdesk, supporting local HR in EMEA, managing employee lifecycle events, and driving process improvements and operational efficiency. The Associate People Operations Partner is the first point of contact for managers, employees, and cross-functional stakeholders who require People-related assistance and helps navigate the various facets of People policies and procedures. This role will support key assigned People Operations projects to improve the quality of service to Rocket’s internal customers and help leaders and managers leverage Rocket’s People resources more efficiently.

Job Overview:

This role is integral to supporting our Global People Services helpdesk, supporting local HR in EMEA, managing employee lifecycle events, and driving process improvements and operational efficiency. The Associate People Operations Partner is the first point of contact for managers, employees, and cross-functional stakeholders who require People-related assistance and helps navigate the various facets of People policies and procedures. This role will support key assigned People Operations projects to improve the quality of service to Rocket’s internal customers and help leaders and managers leverage Rocket’s People resources more efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • HR Function Support:

    • Process and manage employee lifecycle events including regional onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, and changes in employment status.

    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance in Workday and other People systems

    • Leverage Workday expertise to support and manage People processes, generate reports, and troubleshoot system issues.

    • Communicate effectively with employees and management to provide support and ensure understanding of HR policies and procedures. Ensure that employee experience is at the forefront of every interaction.

    • Partner with benefits as needed to manage local leave of absence (LOA) cases and other local benefit matters, including gathering documentation, tracking, and more as applicable.

    People Services Helpdesk:

    • Respond to a wide variety of People-related email and ticketing (Jira) inquiries and requests from employees and managers, ranging in complexity and including topics such as benefits, absence, Workday support, immigration/visa inquiries, policy interpretation, employee verification, and data changes.

    • Develop enhancements to employee self-service measures, including creating how-to guides, help articles, and supporting other related projects to enhance employee experience

    • Support requests for evidence related to global and regional audits, in partnership with regional People Operations Partners

    • Support ad hoc People Operations and People Services projects as assigned by People Operations Manager

    Process Improvement and Automation:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the People function.

    • Create or customize specialized reports on request related to headcount, turnover data, exit interviews, etc. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunity for process improvements

    • Collaborate with the team and regional People Operations Partners to test and implement new processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness globally

    Local HR Support for EMEA:

    • Act as the local People Team support contact for EMEA region with focus on Bulgaria, managing and supporting local HR processes and employee relations cases in coordination with regional People Operations Partners

    • Leverage EMEA HR acumen and knowledge of local laws and regulations to ensure regional compliance, including establishment of policies, practices, and procedures in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders and regional People Operations Partners

    • Partner with local business leaders to understand and address People needs, support organizational goals, and drive employee engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HR role with a focus on employee lifecycle management and helpdesk support, operations, or business partnership

  • Proven experience working with Workday

  • Strong understanding of HR practices and regulations in Bulgaria, and EMEA generally. Ability to demonstrate solid expertise related to HR administration including a solid understanding of best practice, policies and procedures, ideally in an international setting

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement automation solutions.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, a strong customer-centric approach.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in using Jira or similar ticketing systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of local benefits and local payroll function a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field

Travel Requirements:

<5% Minimal, infrequent travel
