Where you fit in
You are part of the health team responsible for delivering the health strategy to your key stakeholders at the Shell Campus Den Haag in The Netherlands. You work in collaboration with different businesses to ensure compliance with local legislation as well as being customer centric. You provide substantial occupational health nursing input and professional leadership. This will be through leveraging the Shell Health core competencies of health expertise, science, collaboration, and business intimacy.
What’s the role?
We’ll entrust you to:
Work through Shell Health protocols and processes (e.g. Fitness to Work and Medical Surveillance) to deliver agreed KPIs without the need for supervision and can adapt the protocols to local or individual need.
Advise key internal stakeholders (employees and lines of business) on occupational health topics and may be the NL focal point for specific areas e.g. ergonomics, travel health, etc.
Maintain and manage all records relating to occupational health nursing issues.
Provide medical absence management to eligible employees complying to Dutch law and regulations in “Taakdelegatie” by certified occupational health physician.
Collate and escalate issues from the frontline horizontally to asset specialists, and collaborates with central, global teams to deliver standardized optimised solutions.
Coach, supervise and support less experienced colleagues across The Netherlands.
Promote and implement Shell Health activities and programmes to population in The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Luxembourg (working with key internal stakeholder departments, social/network groups and committees), to improve their physical, mental and social health through care so that they can be at their best.
Lead, coordinate and collaborate with other Shell Health teams within The Netherlands, implementing the physical, mental and social health plans, activities and programmes to the relevant sites and populations.
When faced with business issues and requests, first leverages existing expertise from the asset class specialists.
What we need from you
Professional Skills:
Nurse with an occupational health qualification recognised by the relevant professional body
Current license to practice in the country
Substantial experience of working in occupational health departments with a track record of delivering health outcomes and positive customer experience
Demonstration of ongoing learning and continuous professional development
Post graduate qualification in Travel Health by LCR would be an advantage
Leadership skills
Demonstrate a learner mindset, fostering inclusivity and psychological safety to identify improvement opportunities and innovation and efficient ways of working
Demonstrated ability to collaborate (business partnering) and integrate across boundaries to maximize value for Shell as a whole
Demonstrated ability to coach less experienced colleagues
Ability to prioritize and show courage to identify improvement opportunities and challenge lower value work
Good communication skills in English and Dutch - written and spoken
Recording, reporting and analysis of data to determine effectiveness of the service
Continuously looks for opportunities to learn from and leverage best practices
