This role of a Technical Analyst is for ERP (Technical) Capability Center that will focus on defining solutions for Shell business and customers that leverage SAP technology to manage business applications on ERP. It is an individual contributor role (i.e., no direct reports) who will be based out of SBO, Bangalore and will invest significant time working in partnership with Business Analysts, IT and business stakeholders and Process Leads to identify, define and develop solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems. He/She will have to have a deep knowledge of the IT infrastructure setup and will drive the integration of the new system/platform into Shell IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Technical Analyst - Security role within the ERP (Technical) Capability Center has full accountability for the implementation of security solutions for S/4 systems in Shell.

  • A key challenge for the Technical Analyst - Security is being able to implement multiple technical security solutions in areas such as S/4 HANA Security, ECC 6.0, Native HANA, BTP.

  • By the nature of the SAP system, integration between the various functional areas is a crucial element.

  • Working in a virtual environment with key stakeholders, subject matter experts in various parts of the globe is a special challenge that requires a great deal of flexibility and understanding.

What we need from you

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT (or equivalent) or business administration or applicable work experience.

  • Candidate must have minimum 7+ years of overall solid SAP Security Implementation experience and hands-on in S/4 Security, FIORI Security, BTP, Native HANA, ECC 6.0.

  • Ensure quality of the security solutions by reviewing technical specifications / build when necessary to ensure they meet the security solution and in line with security design.

  • Extensive experience in technical requirement gathering, develop prototypes/PoCs/recommend solutions with limited information from the business, delivery quality technical specifications and documentation.

  • Detailed analysis of role modifications to ensure they meet the security solution and the security design.

  • Strong analytical skill and a good Team player.

  • Possess innovative mindset to propose effective technical designs/solutions to business problems.

  • Understanding of standard business processes and data flow within a functional area.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to think and work independently.

  • Candidate should have a strong technical ability in SAP S/4 along with stakeholder management skills, great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Act as a quality gate – review peer’s coding/developments ensuring adherence to development guidelines, Performance, code quality standards, review existing customizations and functional specification for technical feasibility.

  • Proficient in mentoring resources (staff and contractor), support them in technical challenges in terms of identifying the right technology or architecting the design.

  • Working on projects as a SAP security focal point.

  • SAP user administration on non-production systems.

  • SAP cutover role assignments on production systems.

  • Possess innovative mindset to propose effective technical designs/solutions to business problems.

  • Works with internal and external technical resources to implement continuous improvements.

Desired (Good to have) IT Skills and Characteristics

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP S/4 Fiori security role build (PFCG).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP user administration (SU01, SU10, CUA).

  • Hands on experience with S/4 Fiori troubleshooting, Native HANA, FIORI Security.

  • Experience in working with stakeholders and leading SAP security projects.

  • Experience with the development of SAP Security design.

  • Functional application knowledge.

  • GRC SoD validation.

  • Hands-on experience in development of security solutions in native HANA.

  • Strong analytical skill and a good Team player.

  • Possess innovative mindset to propose effective technical designs/solutions to business problems.
