Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer - Endur looking to expand their knowledge and work with the market leader in LNG Trading, with one of the most diversified portfolios.

Where you fit in

You will work as part of a global team in the Information & Digital Technology (IDT) organization. You will join IT team in the UK (London) working as one team together with other Shell IT hubs globally (Bangalore, Houston, Netherlands).

What’s the role?

The core responsibility of this role involves gaining a deep understanding of technical processes, systems, and data related to LNG, Gas & Power ETRM Portfolios. The Developer will collaborate closely with Project Managers, BAs, and testers to deliver IT solutions and support that align with the business requirements and goals.

Your role will vary depending on your project(s), typically you would perform the following:

  • Provide technical support for Endur and its related interfaces within the landscape.

  • Take on the role of an Endur Developer, contributing to projects and/or ongoing operations. This encompasses Requirement Analysis, Solution Implementation, Unit Testing, collaborating with BAs and relevant stakeholders for UAT approval, and overseeing Production deployment & Post-Production deployment support.

  • Innovate by creating new enhancements and projects, while also facilitating change management communication to the user community about upcoming IT solution changes.

  • Collaborate with a diverse range of business and IT stakeholders.

  • Advocate for the streamlining of global enterprise business processes and standardizing information, alongside upholding all IT procedures and policies.

  • Contribute to project activities based on funding availability.

  • Act as a Technical Expert in Openlink Endur solutions.

  • Maintain a strong awareness of software development principles.

What we need from you
We are keen to hear from the candidates with below skill set:

  • Substantial years of hands-on experience in Core Java, demonstrating a strong grasp of the complete trade lifecycle process.

  • A confident understanding of the energy/commodity trading domain, covering Oil, Gas, Power, LNG, and other Commodities.

  • Familiarity with working in the Endur environment is preferred but not obligatory.

  • Embrace a methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving while meticulously attending to details.

  • Proven proficiency in effective communication and collaboration, engaging seamlessly with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and various organizations, both individually and as part of groups.

  • Mastery of Agile Development techniques is a must.

  • An encompassing understanding of business process enhancement, risk and benefit management, as well as software development and its lifecycle—an exciting blend of responsibilities that awaits you.
