Job Description:

What is the role?

The Field Operations Technician is responsible for managing production operations on a day or a night shift by ensuring the execution of scheduled work plans primarily in the field. Also ensures that the Operation Technician, CRO and Shift Supervisors are advised when any Safety Critical Equipment has failed to meet the performance standard.

You will also be responsible of the following duties and responsibilities below.

  • Responsible for release of plant for all intrusive maintenance activity using Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant guidelines.

  • Ensures Safety, Production and Environmental Critical and Non-Critical Routines (corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance) are completed on time and compliance targets are met.

  • Monitors and manages production parameters resources on shift to maximize production efficiency.

  • Promotes performance mind set within teams to focus behaviors on safe working and optimizing production levels against key targets under the direction of the Operation Team Lead.

Requirements

What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in Trinidad & Tobago on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

  • Candidate must have at least minimum of 3 (three) years of working experience in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or any work-related industries.

  • A technician diploma qualified in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.

  • Good understanding of relevant industry legislation especially in Production related areas.

  • Fully conversant with all forms of process engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Data Sheets, Cause & Effect charts, and Computerized Maintenance Management System.

  • Conversant with national and international codes and standards applicable to the design, construction, and operation of process plant.

  • Competent in the application of process isolations and adherence to Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant (SIRP).

  • Proven skills in problem solving in relation to production related issues.

  • Adept at working in a production and maintenance team structure.

  • Strong production experience preferably in oil and gas (upstream) or petrochemical (downstream) business.

  • Track record of demonstrating success at assisting in the delivery of production plans and production efficiency targets.

  • General understanding of risk assessment tools and methodology.

  • Willingness to implement new ways of working that improves production efficiency.

  • Proficient in the application of production management processes.

  • Experience in process safety would be an asset.

  • Successful candidates may be placed on Offshore or Onshore sites.
