Selux is looking for a motivated, creative, and skilled Software Engineer to join its fast-paced Software Engineering team to play a key role developing our Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) System. You will work closely with software teammates to develop full stack solutions focused on microbiology workflows and AST data processing. You will interface with multidisciplinary teams to launch our and expand their core capabilities. This is a hybrid position with the expectation of some occasional time onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop web applications and web services using Microsoft ASP.NET Core
- Develop and/or provide backend support for ReactJS and CSS web applications
- Develop business logic using Microsoft .NET C# and Microsoft Entity Framework
- Develop database constructs (tables, stored procedures, etc) for SQL Server database
- Develop domain logic for processing and analysis of AST data
- Write and maintain functional specifications in areas of responsibility
- Write and maintain effective unit tests as part of test-driven development
- Actively participate in code review process as author and engaged reviewer
- Manage assigned tasks and contribute in scrums and sprint planning as part of an Agile process
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS or MS in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or similar field
- 2+ years of industry experience developing production level software
- Proven ability to write quality code in C# using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
- Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET Core web development
- Experience with modern web development platforms (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with relational database queries (SQL) and systems (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Experience with collaborative software development using Git source code control
- A commitment to building testable solutions via the development of unit tests
- An independent thinker and problem-solver who is enthusiastic and collaborative
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience with responsive web development frameworks (ReactJS)
- Experience with cloud storage and computing platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Proficient with modern Python (3.9 or later)
- Application life cycle management (ALM) tools for (Jira, Helix) for requirements, issues, and testing
- Development and documentation in regulated (FDA or other) environment (IEC 62304, 21 CFR 820)
