The Senior Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) leads Sensata’s global DEI strategy development and execution, serving as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor throughout the organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Talent, the Sr. DEI Manager will collaborate locally and globally to actively enable a truly inclusive, engaged and high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the trusted advisor and senior advocate for DEI across Sensata

  • Own the evolution of the DEI strategy including the development and execution of innovative approaches and solutions that are in line with our strategic imperatives and DEI objectives

  • Identify opportunities, design and implement appropriate programs and foster strategic partnerships, community activities, and events that ensure authenticity in our approach

  • Serve as a strategic member of internal councils, including Regional DEI Councils, the Engineering Council and more

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, ESG, and Communications teams to ensure DEI strategies are appropriately adopted and incorporated into recruiting and on-boarding, performance and talent management processes and programs, learning and development opportunities and employee communication and company branding efforts

  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and delivery of key DEI trainings, both live webinar and on-demand eLearning content

  • Engage with Human Resources Business Partners and Leadership Team to identify barriers to an inclusive culture and valuing and managing diversity inherent across the business unit(s)

  • Actively participate in key diversity and inclusion community activities, organizations and other programs in support of elevating diversity and inclusion throughout our communities where we work and live

  • Identifies and captures quantitative and qualitative data to track /measure progress and return on investment, generating insight to inform business decisions and enable effective reporting to meet legal / regulatory requirements

  • Continually develops self-awareness and understanding, to bring innovative thinking and best practices into the organization for knowledge sharing

  • Manages DEI Specialist and ensures performance amongst Regional DEI Councils

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or a related degree or relevant equivalent experience; DEI certification preferred

  • 8-10 years of experience with human resources, including functional expertise in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion

  • At least 3 years of experience with leading key projects in an HR function and working with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce and provide leadership in organizational change

  • Knowledge of creating and deploying effective diversity and inclusion strategies and programs; experience doing so for global organization preferred

  • Technical experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Key Competencies:

  • Possession of excellent oral, written and virtual communication skills

  • Ability to present to various level audiences, including executive leadership

  • Ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization in a highly matrixed company

  • Superior project management skills, particularly with respect to organization, prioritization, and time management
