As one of Dynapower's Transformer Winders, you are responsible for the winding of the transformer coils that go into our rectifiers, cast transformers, and oil filled transformers. We're looking for people with mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to gas braze copper is a plus. You'll make $20 to $30 per hour, get a $2000 signing bonus, AND you'll be eligible for all your medical benefits (health/dental/vision) on your first day!

What You'll Be Doing

On an average day, you’ll

  • Wind conductors per engineering prints, by:

    • Preparing the winding forms

    • Gathering the necessary materials, such as insulation, tube and strapping material

    • Setting up the winding and tensioning equipment

    • Winding up to 6 conductors onto the winding mold or block

    • Installing insulating materials

  • Check the quality of the finished product before it leaves your area

  • Put safety first, all day every day.

What You Need To Apply

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • MIG welding experience preferred

  • Able to gas, braze, and solder copper preferred (certified where applicable)

Work Environment

This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled from Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - we have flexible hours, allowing you to start your day anytime between 6 and 8 a.m. This position works in a manufacturing production environment. This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes, as well as head and hearing protection and gloves, as required.

Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.

  • Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.
