The Warranty Analyst supports the Quality Engineering group and the Warranty Claims Management with warranty data analysis. The Warranty Analyst follows up on incoming customer warranty claims. They will manage compliance of customer debit notes to agreed Warranty agreements and drives appropriate actions. The Warranty Analyst is a subject matter expert of the Ubiquity software used for warranty claims management.General Responsibilities • Verify customer warranty claims according to the contracts and technical factors • Ensure compliance of customer information against the warranty agreements, drive appropriate internal and external actions • Develop resolutions to problems of limited scope according company's processes and procedures • Control warranty contract expiration dates (including technical factor agreements) • Collaborate with quality engineers to determine if clarification for our liability is needed • Communicate the reports to customers when needed to dispute a claim with them • Provide financial information with regards to warranty claims, forecasts, and accruals • Provide warranty data analysis, ad-hock analysis, trends analysis, etc. • Prepare scorecards and customer warranty claims reports • Improve and maintain warranty forecasting reporting and compare with the actual costs • Act as a system administrator and subject matter expert for the necessary software • Optimize software to maximize efficiency for Sensata • Analyze existing business processes and provide recommendations for improvement • Key participant in escalation meetings • Support integrations of new companies • Develop metrics around warranty chargebacks • Work on standardization of the process and global alignment • Work on developing escalation process based on reason codes • Develop standardized reporting • Support other back office projects Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
