The Electrical Engineering Professional is responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

General Responsibilities:
• Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges
• Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
• Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch
• Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations
• Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures
• Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget

Experience / Qualifications:

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Leads control system design and support for precision manufacturing systems comprised of PC-based and PLC-based controllers, graphical user interfaces, robotics, and vision systems.

  • Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges

  • Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs

  • Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch

  • Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations

  • Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals, and test procedures

  • Collaborates with managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget

  • This role will be comprised of approximately 50% electrical design and 50% control system programming


Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 1-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) - preferred

  • Proficient in all IEC 61131-3 programming languages

  • Proficient in design and programming of Beckhoff industrial control systems

  • Proficient in electrical schematic design using SolidWorks Electrical

  • Experience with automated optical inspection systems preferred

  • Experience with robots in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Proficient in PC-based control system design using C++ or C# programming languages and Microsoft Visual Studio programming environment a plus

  • Experience with Git version control platforms a plus
