We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director, FP&A – Direct to Consumer (Americas) to lead and oversee the financial planning and analysis for our DTC business. This role will play a critical part in shaping the commercial strategy, driving sales and margin performance, and ensuring financial excellence for one of SharkNinja’s most dynamic business units.

Position Overview:

The Director, FP&A – Direct to Consumer will lead the finance team supporting the Americas DTC business. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, focusing on commercial strategy, sales and margin management, financial forecasting & actuals reporting, and point-of-sale (POS) analysis. As a senior leader, you will collaborate closely with teams across sales, marketing, product development, and operations to drive financial performance and execute SharkNinja’s strategic goals in the DTC space.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategic Oversight:

  • Lead and develop the FP&A team for the Americas DTC business, ensuring alignment with SharkNinja’s overall financial and strategic objectives.
  • Own the financial management process, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of actuals for the DTC business.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth and margin optimization, ensuring the DTC business meets its financial targets.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategies with long-term business goals.

Commercial Strategy & Margin Management:

  • Oversee the commercial strategy for the DTC business, ensuring alignment between pricing, promotions, and product strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Analyze and manage sales and margin performance, identifying risks and opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
  • Provide actionable insights to drive key business initiatives, such as product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer acquisition strategies.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Lead POS reporting to track sales performance and identify trends, opportunities, and risks across the DTC business.
  • Oversee financial analysis and reporting to provide clear, actionable insights to executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Implement and refine financial models to improve forecasting accuracy and enhance decision-making capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align financial strategies with go-to-market initiatives.
  • Partner with operations and investment teams to ensure efficient inventory management, fulfillment processes, and strategic allocation of resources.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on financial objectives and strategic initiatives.

Process Improvement & Best Practices:

  • Drive process improvements within the FP&A function to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for financial planning, reporting, and analysis within the DTC business.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Significant experience in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer (DTC) financial management.
  • Proven track record in leading FP&A teams, driving financial performance, and managing commercial strategies.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI, Domo, or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience collaborating with operations, marketing, and product teams to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
