Our Application Test Centre ensures efficiency and value improvements of Shell products and processes to support customers and partners and contribute to a successful transition to a low-carbon energy future.

What's the role?

Site Operations is responsible for Site Permitting, Asset Compliance and Infrastructure. The majority of the position will revolve around the components of fire protection, permitting, partner management, Logistic Operations and site development.

Main Focus:

  • 3rd Party Management Logistic Contracts

  • Person in charge of dangerous goods

  • Focal Point responsible for Logistic Facilities

  • Additional tasks in the direction of preventive and defensive fire protection and authority management:

  • Preventive fire protection

  • Acceptance and assurance of compliance with fire protection concepts

  • Projects on the subject of fire protection

  • Fire protection support in projects for site development.

  • Extinguishing agent calculation

  • Training organization in coordination with HSSE

  • Expert Advice, Fire Protection Advisor

  • Processing and review of fire protection concepts

  • Emergency Response Support (ERT)

  • Contract Management Fire Preventive Contracts

  • Ensuring operational readiness, stationary extinguishing equipment and resource provision in coordination with Fire Brigade City of Hamburg

What we need from you

  • German speaking

  • Min. technical training with master craftsman or technician qualification

  • Logistic Experience

  • Experience in dealing with authorities (HPA, BUKEA, professional fire brigade ”Berufsfeuerwehr Hamburg”)

  • Comprehensive knowledge in preventive and defensive fire protection ("B3" Qualification or equal required)

  • Knowledge of waste management

  • Experience with logistics operations

  • Customs clearing (Import/Export)

  • Load Security Responsible incl. all incoming and outgoing goods/loader

  • Leadership and organizational expired

  • Knowledge of dangerous goods

  • Assessment and evaluation of fire protection concepts

  • Coordination of implementation measures from permits

  • English fluency
