What’s the role?

The incumbent will be responsible for the safe, quality, and effective maintenance execution for defined E&I scopes on Wells & Plant.

  • Demonstrate front line face to face visible leadership.

Position Specific Accountabilities:

  • Utilizing CMMS to create/plan/execute Corrective and Preventive Maintenance (CM/PM).

  • CMMS including but not limited to:

    • Critical function testing on various safety critical systems including fire and gas, SIS controllers, line of sight detectors, valve controllers, etc.

    • Hazardous Area visual and detailed inspections.

    • Fault finding on complex electrical and instrumentation systems.

    • LV/HV Switchgear, Lighting, HV Motor

    • Instrument air systems, instrument calibrations

    • Confined space working

    • MOC Execution

    • Working at Heights

  • Ensure timely, accurate and appropriately detailed work close out to support work progress and reliability reporting.

  • Optimizing all Maintenance work scopes across Assets via the Change Request (CR) process to continue to drive efficiencies, including technical assistance to Maintenance Engineering.

  • Maintain equipment including electrical and instrumentation settings, calibration, and cause & effect testing.

  • Maintain and trouble shoot Instruments and Electrical Equipment on well sites including RTU & ComAp software. reloading software in liaison with the Well Automation team.

  • Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously on all facets of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment.

  • Monitoring of all Operation Process equipment via DCS.

  • Develop and perform Electrical Isolations aligned to Shell QGCs LOTO/PTW procedures specific to Instruments and Electrical Equipment.

  • Ensure SCE and ICE maintenance is delivered on time and as planned.

  • Support the coaching and mentoring of apprentices. Developing and fostering strong working relationships with operations. Manage the on-site relationship and interface with key support contractors.

  • Ensure continuous improvement by ensuring the team uses red line mark ups and the CR system.

  • Ensure all work is closed and updated correctly in the CMMS.

  • Carry out installation and commissioning tasks related to MOC’s.

What we need from you

We are looking for professionals with the following:

  • QLD Electrical Trade or equivalent qualification strongly preferred for Plant/HV/QMI.

  • Cert 3 in Instrumentation desirable; Cert 4 Instrumentation as a minimum.

  • Current EEHA Certified obtained within past 3 years.

  • Significant previous maintenance experience working in heavy industry, ideally within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Process environment.

  • Experience with Electric Driven Compression equipment desirable; Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety monitoring systems.

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of hazardous areas in gas plant.

  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge and experience using CMMS systems to record asset history, failure reporting, work logs and hours – Maximo experience would be highly regarded.

  • Knowledge and experience with the use of P&ID’s.

  • Experience in supporting the resolution of complex problems in operational facilities management. Ability to think widely to solve complex technical problems using innovative solutions.

  • Ability to use appropriate structured tools and processes to deliver plant performance improvement.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with proven ability to engage with a broad spectrum of people. Team player, participating in the attainment of team goals, encouraging and leading continuous improvement.

  • High level of organizational skills; Excellent time management skills.

  • Proactive and visible HSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behavior, and actions.

Work Schedule is 15:13 roster, 11 hours per day with appropriate uplifts for the role.
