The Planning Supervisor works within the Shell Polymers Monaca Maintenance, Turnaround and Construction (MTAC) Organization and is accountable to manage the planning organization, which consists of Shell FTEs, contractors, and potentially in the future, Technical Asset Operations (TAO) individuals. The planning organization provides cost effective, safe and date driven corrective, preventative, and major maintenance work plans per planning premise and Shell Asset Management System (AMS).

Accountabilities (including but not limited to)

  • Develop fully integrated planning premises for the Shell Polymers Monaca MTAC organization

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for the evolution and development of the planning organization

  • Build the individual capabilities of the routine and major maintenance planners

  • Develop, implement, and support/monitor the planning AMS KPIs and site governance teams, as applicable

  • Lead the implementation of the first work plans for all critical equipment across the site

  • Lead the procurement of needed external speciality discipline planning resources, as needed

  • Drive site consistency of the planning and scheduling tools and the necessary competency needed

  • Ensure direct reports have clear understanding of their role / expectations including assigning work priorities to produce efficient, safe plans on-time when required

  • Engage with planners to identify and remove roadblocks for indirect reports to achieve to business and individual expectations

  • Identify trends and opportunities with planners to improve the planning process using key performance indicators

  • Drive continuous improvement within organization – digitalization and new ways of working – resulting in improved team and business performance.

  • Responsible to drive standardization of work plans and packs within organization

  • In the future, interface with TAO colleague to manage remote planning resource performance and requirements within their team

What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.

  • At least 8 years refinery or petrochemical experience, with PE experience highly preferred

  • 8 years’ experience in Maintenance Execution

  • Mastery in planning and scheduling work processes and tools

  • 5 years of supervisory experience in an Asset

  • Strong knowledge of SAP

  • Embraces utilization of technology – High level understanding of office 365, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, iPads are an asset

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills that inspire and energize people to create a clear sense of direction and priorities

  • Ability to positively influence people, effectively drive work processes and ensure compliance with policies

  • Ability to drive execution and stretch the performance of people with a wide range of capabilities

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills to effectively coordinate individuals to deliver and drive action plans to resolution

The base salary range for this position is $146,000 - $218,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
