The Business Operations team supports sales, account, and engagement leaders. We bring efficiency to internal functions and enable consultants to focus their time on our clients.

What You’ll Do

The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the Chicago market. This role reports to the Central Region Business Operations Director.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assist pursuit leads in maintaining sales, opportunity, and staffing data in our systems
  • Facilitate deal review process and governance
  • Support account planning processes
  • Facilitate account onboarding for strategic accounts (background checks, client credentials, equipment, etc.)
  • Monitor engagement financials and partner with delivery teams to mitigate risks
  • Validate and reconcile consultant time entry
  • Provide metrics and reporting to support account, industry, and market leaders
  • Act as a liaison to the Engagement Management Office and other global services teams to research complex questions and troubleshoot issues
  • Champion global initiatives and provide process support for the business
  • Maintain operational excellence and advance operational maturity in your market/portfolio
  • Participate in occasional global initiatives
  • Actively mentor and coach direct reports

Location:

  • Chicago
  • Hybrid role, with ~3 days a week at the Chicago office and the balance remote

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years professional work experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Financial aptitude
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Exceptional analysis skills
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Excel, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Process design and improvement experience

Preferred Experience

  • Professional services industry experience
  • Salesforce or similar CRM tool
  • Power BI or similar analytics tool
  • People leadership experience

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $92,000 to $147,000 and the targeted base salary range is $125,000 to $135,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
