What You’ll Do

The AWS Sales Executive at Slalom is a critical role focused on driving net new business opportunities and executing comprehensive sales strategies. Specializing in the Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Games and Sports (TMEGS) industry segment, the AWS Sales Executive positions Slalom as AWS's preferred partner, adding value throughout the deal cycle and leveraging trusted AWS relationships to address escalations. The AWS Sales Executive aligns to the GTM strategy that AWS adheres to and does not have geographical constraints. This role is pivotal in transforming neutral or cold partner/customer relationships into long-term champions of Slalom, transitioning these relationships to local markets for sustainable management.

  • Carry a $10M+ sales quota responsible for originating, qualifying, and driving opportunities to closure.
  • Originate 100+ opportunities annually, above and beyond where existing local market GTM teams are focused.
  • Along with the Partner Development Manager (PDM), act as a Slalom representative to AWS leaders within the TMEGS segment; focusing on acquiring and managing new customer relationships and owning high-value and customer-focused AWS relationships such as District Managers, Account Managers, CPMs, and Business Development Managers.
  • Generate active pipeline; ensuring Slalom’s AWS pipeline within the TMEGS Industry is relevant, robust, and up to date in systems of record – beyond personal pipeline.
  • Build genuine and long-lasting relationships with high-performing AWS sellers to establish themselves and Slalom as the AWS sellers “go-to” partner.
  • Serve a named role on the Sales team (e.g., Pursuit Lead, Relationship Lead) in over 50% of opportunities.
  • Transition relationships as appropriate to local market teams to provide the right level of account management and drive sales across all of Slalom’s capabilities.
  • In collaboration with the partner teams, present strategic Industry plans, identify internal AWS strategy gaps, and explain performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support the development and execution of AWS go-to-market strategies that align with client business goals, Slalom capabilities, and AWS vertical goals in collaboration with Slalom Subject Matter Experts and AWS Partner Specialists.
  • Support the execution of and drive attendance to annual conferences, sponsored events, SKO’s, and account planning sessions in conjunction with Slalom Partner Teams, Slalom Account Teams, Marketing, and applicable AWS parties .
  • Drive the strategic sales vision for Slalom’s AWS business, ensuring alignment Industry Strategy and with broader organizational goals.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Sr Sales Executive position, the base salary pay range is $134,000 to $215,000. For the Sales Director position, the base salary pay range is $159,000 to $255,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
