Job Description:

The Offices of Admissions, Testing & Assessment, and Student Financial Services (Enrollment Services) are currently seeking to fill a part-time clerical position. This position serves as a
member of the Enrollment Services team, focusing on general office management and enrollment functions. The person in this role will assist with the daily activities of Enrollment Services
including general office filing, record management and customer service functions. In addition, this individual will provide support to the Admissions Office as a member of the team
to support Clerical office functions as listed.


RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the daily operations in the primary assignment, which is the Admissions Office.
  • Cross training in other enrollment offices to provide support on an as needed basis.
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Process transfer credit reports.
  • Update transcripts and student records.
  • Greeting office visitors, answering phones, emails and other clerical functions.
  • Responding to inquiries and prospects through Customer Relationship Management System.
  • Providing support on coordination of large enrollment events.
  • Contributes to a work environment that encourages and promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrates 100% time-on-task; adheres to college and routine office procedures, and regulations.
  • Participate in college, division, department meetings, events and training as recommended and approved by the supervisor.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, college committees, work groups and task forces, and other professional organizations as approved by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those listed above which do not alter the basic level of the position.


Requirements:

  • Associate's degree preferred; Three years or more experience in a busy office environment.
  • Experience using and comfort with technology (basic Microsoft Office, etc.), as well as the ability and willingness to learn new computer-based programs.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals and be perceptive and understanding of student concerns.
  • Must be team oriented, energetic, focused on details.
  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must possess strong customer services skills.

Additional Information:

Salary: $16 per hour.

Work Schedule: Part-time, up to 18 hours per week, Monday through Friday, hours negotiable between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as demand dictates.

Candidates for employment should be aware that all STCC employees are required to complete Information Awareness Security Training within thirty days of their orientation date and annually thereafter.
