Job Description: The STCC Library is well known among students and colleagues for our strength in support of student learning and of student success. The staff is a team of individuals who all contribute to the library's goals. Our work environment is dedicated to collaboration, creativity, and innovation. The library provides and creates exceptional content, communications, and community. The Student Engagement Librarian leads the library's efforts in reaching and serving its diverse student populations through programming, information literacy instruction, exhibitions, marketing, publications, and orientation. This individual should have a welcoming and engaging presence, with the ability to adapt strategically in order to best support students' information needs. We are seeking applicants who can participate in a dynamic, collaborative, and collegial team. Responsibilities: - Coordinate procedures and workflows related to the creation, management, and organization of library tutorials.
- Design and implement outreach and engagement events, such as workshops, guest speakers, and technology information sessions.
- Oversee library thematic displays and exhibits.
- Work independently and in teams.
- Work collaboratively with the Systems Librarian to assess the effectiveness of in-house digital resources.
- Manage the library's social media accounts.
- Represent the library at campus activities (open house, orientation, etc.).
- Act as library liaison to student ambassadors and student activities.
- Teach bibliographic instruction classes including research and assignment-specific skills.
- Deliver reference services to patrons in-person and online.
- Partner with students, faculty, staff, and librarians to enhance learning, teaching, and scholarship through the application of new technologies and emerging digital research methods across disciplines, as well as critical engagement with library collections and data.
- Demonstrated commitment to core values of integrity, respect, and fostering a work environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
- Serve on campus and regional committees.

Requirements: - Master's degree in Library Science, Library & Information Science, or closely related field.
- Three (3) years experience and/or training that includes library operations, library information systems, reference services, bibliographic instruction, circulation services, and cataloging; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working at a reference desk and teaching information literacy classes.
- Knowledge of Digital Learning Object/video production, use of screencast/video production tools, Springshare tools, and GSuite products preferred.
- Knowledge of research methods for health science related fields preferred.
